In Boulder, all concrete wall types showed savings in heating and cooling costs as compared to the code-matching wall and out-performed both wood and steel walls. The best performing wall was ICF Flat Panel, performing 21% better than code, 16% better than wood, and 18% better than steel. This was followed closely by Sandwich Panel walls at 19 and 17 percent (typical and engineered respectively).
